FEILDING LIVESTOCK SALE (By Telegraph—Press Associatida.) FEILDING. July 28. Prices held at fairly firm levels at the Feilding stock sale held foday though mutton values were slightly lower because* of the absence ofTout side competition. Extra quality lines, however, were quite up to last y^sek's rates. The demand for . young breeding ewes was firm for all classes, with ewe lambs making a keen sale. Aged ewes were not of such good quality as those of last week, with the result that prices eased slightly. I The small offering of station cfattie met a fair sale. Boner cows sold well, prices being on a level with those of recent sales. The dairy- qattle market was good, with a firm inquiry from the Waikato and Taranaki dis tricts. The demand for quality cfeiry cattle was strong. Prices are:— Sheep.—Good breeding ewes, tiwotooths. r.w. Southdown rams, 295, others 21s 7d; four and six-tooth, 22s 9d; four-tooth to four-year. 265; iftjur and five-year, 16s 6d; five-year, 11s 6d to 18s 7d; m.a., to 13s 6'd: ewe hoggets, good, 21s 5d to 22s 6d; others, 18s to 20s 4d; prime hoggets, 17s 6d; gt>od to 'fair, 15s to 16s; prime wethers. 22s 5d to 23s 9d; extra quality line, 24s 3d; fair weights, 19s to 21s 8d; others. 18s 3d; prime b.f.'s. 18s 9d to 21s; priwie fat ewes. 21s 7d to 22s 8d; lighter sor«ts, 15s; poor quality, from 11s 6d. Emperor Mines, Ltd., Fiji, has declared a fourth dividend of 6d a share, payable on August 31, according to advice received by the Wellington Stock Exchange.
