SNOW DISAPPEARING
DUNEDIN CONDITIONS
MORE DAMAGE REPORTED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, This Day.
With a speedy thaw much water lies on the fiat land in Dunedin. Trains and trams are all running, but the north train is subject to delays at .Mihiwaka. The Main South Road is blocked at Pukerau, and this will prevent the heavy motor traffic expected for the Ranfurly Shield game. The roof of the Iron and Steel Company's premises at Burnside collapsed under the weight of snow on to the plant and stock, the damage being several hundreds of pounds. At the Drill Hall a peaked roof has been flattened by the snow, throwing one wall out of plumb by a foot.
