THETIS SALVAGE WORK

ADJUSTMENTS ON THE ZELO

(Received July 27, 9 a.m.)

LONDON, July 26.

The Liverpool and Glasgow Salvage Association reports that the salvage ship Zelo has returned to Birkenhead. It added:

"We cannot guarantee in future salvage operations on the Thetis that there will not be a recurrence of the concentrated load upon two baulks, and in view of that uncertainty it becomes necessary to provide baulks throughout the Zelo which will take the concentrated load. This load cannot be assumed to come under given baulks in any order. This m^ans that there will recruire to be a substantial margin of safety in each baulk, and necessary adjustments will now be made on the Zelo."
