RUMOURS PERSIST
DISCUSSION IN SPAIN
OFFICIAL DENIAL IN PARIS
(Received July 27, 2 p.m.)
PARIS, July 26.
The Spanish Embassy issued a communique denying reports of internal dissension in Spain, but rumours of a serious split continue.
It is stated that army officials are now openly opposed to collaboration with the Axis Powers, to whom the Min-ster of the Interior, Signor Sunsr, is favourable, and that they prefer neutrality and friendship with England and France.
