VISITING ODDFELLOWS
WAIRARAPA CONTINGENT
A number bf visitors from Wairarapa Lodges of the Manchester Unity Order of Oddfellows paid a visit last week to Loyal Sister Wallis Lodge, Wellington, Representatives of Mangatainoka, Masterton, and Carterton "lodges were included in the party, and all were accorded a warm welcome by local mem-bex-s at a special meeting held to receive the visitors. Also present were members of several outside lodges, including Volunteer Lodge (Christchurch) and Gisborne and Westport Lodges. Wellington lodges were represented by members of Rose of Sharon Lodge (Upper Hutt), Rose of the Valley Lodge (Lower Hutt), and Petone and Newtown lodges. The visitors were welcomed by the j Noble Grand of Sister Wallis Lodge, Sister Eileen Dumbleton, who.was sup-! ported by the District Grand Master, j Brother George W. Craddock./and the! Grand Secretary, Brother G..* Shrimp- i ton. ; At the conclusion of the meeting a dance was held at which Brother Jl 0. Jorgensen acted as M.C. Before they returned to their homes in the Wairarapa the visitors were taken for a sight-seeing ride rOwnd the city in buses.
