THORNDON CLUB
The annual meeting of the Thorndon Bowling Club Was held recently, about 70 members attending. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. H. J. Wynne; hon. treasurer, Mr. A. R. Forteous; hon. secretary, Mr. J. M. McLean; hon. auditor, Mr. A. V. Allen; committee, Messrs- M. J. Casey (who is also Dominion president), J, M. Gibson, Geo, Johnson, A. J. H. Nancarrow, J. E, Perry, and F. J. White, Mr. Johnson was also appointed sole selector. The green promises to be in excellent condition for the important matches next summer. Mr. H. Buxton, a very old member of the club, was elected a life member. Members praised the work of Mr. A. M. de Tourettes, who resigned from the' position of hon. secretary after having held that office for 14 years.
