After allowing Athletic to oontrot play in tho first half. Hutt were unfortunate on the run of the play in the second spell to be
beaten 9-8 in their gaule at the Hutt Recreation Ground. Athletics win was Well merited, however, as the team started with one man short, drtd as ft insult 6f injuries finished the game with only twelve men, Tor the most part play was'kept In the forwards owing to the heavy ground and Wippety ball, but there w-ere ono or two bright back movements. Tho Athletic fbrWaMs Went Well in the loose, and in the first half showed more determination than their" opponents, but in the second half Htilt brightened up, and made the game more lively, Tries Were scored for Atlilettcj by Glengarry, Thofburn, rind Cdates. gculiion scored a try.
