BUTTER MARKET

BUSINESS IS SLOW

PRICE 5'- UNDER GUARANTEE

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, July 1. The butter position is awkward, as New 'Zealand has appreciated, owing to short supplies, while Australian has eased. The market at present is slow. Cheese is quiet at higher values. New Zealand butter is now quoted at 119s to 120s a cwt, the highest point reached since February, and an advance of 5s to 6s in the last fortnight. The present price, however, is still nearly 5s below the London equivalent of the guaranteed price.
