SINGLES AND DOUBLES
COOMBE AND MALFROY WIN
Matches in the fourth round of the men's singles and the second round of the doubles were played in the English lawn tennis championships at Wimbledon yesterday. Coombe and Malfroy (New Zealand) had a win in the doubles, and Edwards, the Dominion Champion, and his partner were also successful. ' (Received July 1, 11 a.m.) LONDON, June 30. Ghaus Mohammed (India) beat O. Szigeti (Hungary), 6-4, 14-16, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. F. Puncec (Yugoslavia), beat A. D. Russell (Argentina), 6-3, 8-6, 6-1. MEN'S DOUBLES. (Holders: J. D. Budge and C G. Mako, U.S.A.) Second Round. D. C. Coombe and C. E. Malfroy \ (New Zealand) beat Gulcz (Germany), and H. Ploughman (Denmark), 6-2, 8-6, i 8-6. N. V. Edwards (New Zealand) and R, Morton (Britain) beat H. T. Baxter and B. E. Whiteman (Britain), 7-5, 6-3, 7-9, 1-6, 6-2. j T. Hughan and H. Van, Swoi (Holland) beat C. Boussus and A. Gentien (France), 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 8-6, 6-3.
