The Takanini trainer F. Smith has a recent addition to his stable in an attractive-looking yearling by Foxbridge from Sealoria. One of the most improved gallopers in the north is Marie's Acre, whose partiality for soft going should find him racing prominently at Ellerslie next month.
Golden Sheila was allowed to forgo her engagement on the first day of the Waikato Meeting owing to the soft track, but there is nothing amiss with her.
