MARTARA AND GAY TALKIE
Private advice has been received to the effect that the New Zealand horses Martara and Gay Talkie were recently successful in India. Martara won an important cup race, 14 miles, at Calcutta, and was also second at even weights in the Viceroy's Cup to Fmalist who is regarded as the champion of India and had just previously scored in the King-Emperor's Cup, which he won easing up with 9 .dm Imin 38 3-ssec. Gay Talkie won the Sandown Plate, worth 7000 rupees, H miles, at Bombay, in 2min Bsec.
