Winds.—Light and variable in the far north, otherwise between north-west and south-west, but later becoming more generally south-west-erly over the South Island. Force moderate to strong, but decreasing later.
Seas.—Rough in places south of Cape Kgmont and about Cook and Foveaux Straits, but moderating later. Otherwise slight or moderate.
Weather. —Continuing fair to fine in the north and north-east and fair to cloudy in central provinces. Scattered showers in Westland and the far south, and later extending up the east coast to beyond Canterbury. Temperatures cool in the south, otherwise mild to warm.
