Retail prices are unchanged as follows:—New Zealand, Is 2d per lb, Danish Is 5d per lb. The price of New Zealand salt butter at this time last year was Ills to 112s per cwt. , a i. Stocks of New Zealand and Australian butter at December 30 last were 1829 tons, against 2112 tons last year, and 5170 tons, against 1408 tons, respectively. , Cheese.—The New Zealand cheese market is reported to be quiet. New Zealand white and coloured is quoted at 69s per cwt, against 69s 6d and 70s for the week before and 64s to 64s 6d for this time last year. Canadian cheese, white, 71s to 725, and coloured 71s to 735, as for the week before. For old seasons Canadian 80s is quoted. Australian cheese commands 62s to 65s for white and Is above that for coloured. English "finest" farmers cheese is selling at 86s to 96s and English factory cheese at 635. New Zealand cheese is selling retail at 9d per lb.
