PUBLIC NOTICES. HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL. POINT HOWARD WATER AND SEWERAGE LOAN, 1938; £4500. "NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the X 1 Hutt County Council proposes to raise under the provisions of "The Counties Act, 1920," "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," and their amendments and in pursuance of an Order in Council dated August 27, 1928, contained in the N.Z. Gazette of August 30. 1928, No. 66 at Page 2721 which conferred on the Hutt County Council certain powers of Borough Councils with respect to waterworks, and in pursuance of an Order in Council dated September 16, 1935, contained in the N.Z. Gazette of September 17, 1936, No. 62 at Page 1745 which conferred on the Hutt County Council all the powers with respect to drainage and sanitation exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council, and in pursuance and exercise of all other Acts powers and authorities it in that behalf enabling"a Loan of £4500 to be known as "Point Howard Water and Sewerage Loan 1938" for the purpose of installing a Water Supply and Sewerage System including engineer's charges and preliminary expenses in the Point Howard Special Rating Area in the Wainui-o-mata Riding of the County of Hutt. The sum proposed to be borrowed js £4500 The proposed security is a --r^ecial annually-recurring rate of twopence and fifteen one-hundredths of one penny in the pound (2-15/100 din the £1) on the rateable 'value, on the basis of the Capital Value, of all property in the Point Howard Special Rating District in the Wainui-o-mata Riding of the County of Hutt, in accordance with the Special Roll of ratepayers advertised in the "Evening Post" on September 22, 1938. The term for which the said Loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be twenty-five (25) years. ' The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said Loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s) per centum per annum. The- said Loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate half-yearly instalments extending over the term of the Loan, viz., 25 years. It is proposed to pay out of the "Loan the cost of raising the Loan, but not the interest, principal, or sinking fund for the first year. • A plan showing the boundaries of the : Special Rating District of Point Howard may be inspected at the Office of the Hutt County Council. NOTICE OF POLL: Pursuant to Section 11 of the Local Bodies Loans Act. 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll ot ratepayers of the Point Howard Special Rating District in the County of Hutt will be taken in respect to* the proposal to raise a Loan of £4500 for the purpose of installing a Water Supply and Sewerage System, to the said district, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., on Thursday. 26th day of January, 1939. PURSUANT to the provisions of the Dogs Registration Act 1908 notice is hereby given that the Dog Tax for the year 1939 in the City of Wellington has been fixed at 10s per dog, provided (1) That in the case of dogs kept solely for the purpose pf destroying rabbits, the fee is reduced to 2s 6d per dog, and' $) That tho fee to be paid by any shepherd, drover, or farmer, exercising his statutory right to register any number of dogs not exceeding three, kept solely for the purpose of herding or driving sheep or cattle, at. a less fee, shall be for each such dog a fee of 2s 6d. This tax is now due and payable to the Registrar of Dogs, Rates Office, Town Hall, Wellington. Notice is also given that a fee of ls in respect of each dog registered will be payable for the supply of the approved remedy for the prevention of Hydatid Disease as provided by the Dogs Registration (Prevention of Hydatid Disease) Regulations 1938.— E.
