V.M.C.A. TOURING PARTIES

Three of the V.M.C.A. touring parties returned to Wellington from the South Island yesterday. Mr. P. W. Wilson, leader of one party, said that excellent conditions were experienced at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, and he was very impressed with the hospitality extended to his party. A great time was had by the party at Homer Tunnel, said Mr. Wilson, this being perhaps the most impressive part of the tour. A second group under Mr. K. Macaulay also enjoyed the best of conditions and he remarked on the hospitality extended to his party at Manapouri. The third group were some members of the Milford track party; the remainder will return on January 10. The North Island group, touring by bus,"-arrived last night at the Chateau. They expect to arrive in i Wellington late this evening.
