Mrs. Peake, of Swinton and Pentlebury. England, has earned her living charing for the past year, states an exchange. Her father, Alderman A. T Corns, has been elected Mayor, and as his wife died recently, Mrs. Peake will take her place as Mayoress and give up the charing. She says she does not mind the work, and was a mill girl before her marriage.
