PLUNGE DOWN INTO A STREAM

When the van in which they were travelling ran off the road and plunged about 30ft into a stream, the driver, Mr. R. Dethiery, and a companion suffered injuries which necessitated their removal to the Kaitaia Hospital. The accident occurred on Wednesday on the road between Kaitaia and Kohumaru. Fortunately another motorist arrived on the scene shortly, after the accident and assisted the injured men.
