STRUCK BY MOTOR-CYCLE

A fractured skull and severe concussion were suffered by Mrs. Mary Lambert, aged about 70 years, of 14 Queen Street, when she was knocked down by a motor-cycle at the corner of Taranaki Street and Manners Street, about 3.30 yesterday, afternoon.

The injured woman was unconscious when she was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance and her condition this morning was reported to be serious. The rider of the motor-cycle was William Joseph Kennedy, a machinist, of 37 Vivian Street.
