Dominion Films in London
The High Commissioner and Mrs. Jordan attended a reunion dinner recently at the Royal Empire Society given by the public schoolboys who toured New Zealand at the beginning of the year, states "The Post's" "London correspondent. After dinner, films and lantern slides were shown of the tour, with some excellent shots of the Dominion. Comment and explanation were given by Lord Malcolm DouglasHamilton. There were no speeches". Those present included Lady DouglasHamilton, the Hon. Mrs. Bowes Lyon; Mr. A. E. C. Cornwall, Dr. M. J. Rendall, and Mr. and Mrs. F. Deverell. "Gone With the Wind." Margaret Mitchell is preparing for presentation to the World Centre for Women's Archives the bibliography of source material she used for writing "Gone With the Wind." A collection of data oil and by Amelia Earhart will be, added shortly by George Palmer Putnam. The organisation has its headquarters in New York. A Few Uses for Starch.*—Powdered starch is' an excellent silver polish. It will remove ssain.s from wallpaper, and when washing windows a lump of starch added to the water will remove the dirt more easily.
