VISITING ARTISTS

Two outstanding vocalists, soprano and baritone, commence tours of the National Stations during the coming week. Neither is a stranger to the New Zealand studios, and it is due to their success on previous visits that they are again visiting the Dominion. *

Julie Werry, Wanganui born, has been studying and performing in Australia since her last appearance in her native country, and commences her tour from 2YA on Monday, with a group of compositions by Grieg, Strauss, and Wolff. Three evenings later she will give a recital of ballads with violoncello obbligato.

Clement Q. Williams, an eminent Australian baritone, whose 1935 tour of the N.B.S. stations was such a success, will be in New Zealand for a season of six weeks. This fine vocalist also makes his first appearance at 2YA on Tuesday next.
