SHAMPOOED ROYALTY
HAIRDRESSER VISITS SYDNEY
M. Kropacsy, world-famous hairdresser, who has dressed many a queenly head before the crown was placed upon it, has arrived in Sydney for a rest, states an exchange. Although he may claim to "have performed on the crowned heads of Europe," M. Kropacsy is reticent about his commissions to mould the coiffures of royalty. But he admits to his creation of the high pompadour effect which Queen Mary adopted when, as the Duchess of York, she visited Australia to assist the late King George V at the opening of Australia's first Federal Parliament at the Exhibition Building, Melbourne. "There is no use for dull, drab, uninteresting colours of hai#—not in Europe," he says. "So we have hair beautification. No —not dyeing. It is simply a matter of shampooing the hair with special beauty shampoos and rinsing the hair in gentle, coloured rinses. These rinses can be obtained in a large variety of shades, made by leading Continental makers."
