VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN

GOVERNMENT

LITTLE SOCIALIST SUPPORT

BRUSSELS, December 6.

The Chamber of Deputies, after a statement by M. Spaak, the Prime Minister, dealing with domestic politics, passed a vote of confidence in the Government by 111 votes to 49. There were 21 abstention*. M. Spaak, however, obtained only 18 votes from his own Socialist Party, numbering 70. He said as he r left the Chamber that he would decide tomorrow whether he would resign.
