LIKELY BEAU PERE COLT
Silver-Stick, who is down to make his next appearance in the Nursery Handicap at Woodville on Saturday, was responsible for a most encouraging display in his first start at Feilding recently. On that occasion he did not begin as well as the majority of the field, with the result that he was well back with a couple of furlongs to go. However, he put in some great work on the outside over the concluding stages, but the post was a shade too near for him, and he went down narrowly to Globe Trotter.
On that performance Silver-Stick, who is a colt by Beau Pere from the Chief Ruler mare Silver Rule, should not be long in opening his winning account. Considering his little experience, he does not appear happily, handicapped in receiving only 21b from Submission, Who won at Trentham at her last start,, but he should be able to account for the rest of his known opposition at the weights.
