In the match at the Hutt Recreation Ground, Hutt-Petone (Wellington Cricket Association) beat a Hutt Valley Association team by 84 runs. C. Williams scored an excellent century in Hutt-Petone's first innings score of 189 for nine wickets, declared, and F. Thorn, with 51, was the highest scorer for Hutt Valley, who compiled 105. The scores were:— Hutt-Petone, 189 for nine wickets, declared (C. Williams 111, D. Fraser 42, Wilson 10 not out; D. Ryan one for 20, F. Thorn three for 41, P. Kristianson three for 40, S. Brace two for 41). Hutt Valley, 105 (I. Minihan 24, F. Thorn" 51; B. Champness four for 29, B. Ross two for 21, L. McCarthy one for 13, Wilson three for 13).
