Because of the cricket carnival only C grade matches were played by the Hutt Valley Cricket Association on Saturday. Results were: — Eastbourne 125 for eight wickets declared (Hill 26, Bourne 21) beat V.M.C.A. 76 (Wells 29) and 58 for six wickets (Edwards 23). Bowling for Eastbourne, Bourne took four wickets for 28 runs, Robertson three for 4. For V.M.C.A. Pogson took five for 25. Trafalgar Park, 56 and 108 for eight wickets (Scott 28. Malm 24) beat General Motors 118 (Gillen 40) and 16. Bowling for Trafalgar Park, Clark took two wickets for 21 runs and three for 7, Blackie three for 17, Martin two for 22, J. Rangiwhitu two for 15 and jeven for 5, including the hat-trick. For General Motors, Chudleigh took six for 251 and Bean four for 27. j Epuni 128 for nine wickets (M. Fut- ] ter 20, A. Futter 34, Lovett 34 not out) and 43 for four beat Lever Bros. 61 and 104 for seven wickets (Hanshaw 68). Bowling for Epuni, Reynolds took five wickets for 22 runs and two for 12, M. Futter five for 29. For Lever Bros., Webley took two for five. Taita 144 for eight wickets, declared I (McNabb 31, J. Bartosh 15. Ireland 21.! Meyrick 20) beat M.V. Oddfellows 53 i and 171 for nine wickets. Bowling for! Taita, Balls took seven wickets for 24 runs and four for 20. Westbury two for 25. Bartosh two fou 4, M. Smith three for 17. .
