ROAD WALKING
On Saturday afternoon Day's Bay was the starting point of the Wellington Road Walking Club's activities, a first-class attendance being in evidence. Leaving the bathing sheds the walkers proceeded around the bays past Point Howard and turned for home a little further on. The total distance was nearly seven miles and a strong, gusty wind interfered with the members to a great extent. Outstanding form was shown by Evans, Durable, and McCarthy, while the majority of the others showed improvement in style. Next week's outing will be held at. Seatoun, when another good turnout is expected.
