LOGAN DERBY AT WINTON

INVERCARGILL, December 3
The Australian horse Logan Derby paced a mile at the Wairio Trotting Club's Meeting today in 2min 8 4-ssec, breaking the Southland record of 2min llsec, made at Winton by Harold Logan.
Conditions were very poor. Just before the \attempt heavy rain fell and the track was reduced to a greasy state. Logan perby paced in road shoes.
