WOTAN'S FEILDING WINS

The success of Wotan in the Manchester Handicap at Feilding last Saturday has prompted a -correspondent ("JB") to inquire for particulars of the' Feilding Cup, decided last Easter. The result of that race was: —

FEILDING CUP, £700; H miles.

6 Wotan, 8.4 (L. Dulieu) ■■■■•■■• \ 2 Big Dook. 7.9 (G. R. TattersaU) .. 2 1 Grateful, 7.7 (G. P. Dowrick) ... 3 Also started: 4 Catalogue 9.1 (A. McDonald), 3 Oratory 9.0 (B H Morris), 7 Siegmund 8.8 (J. McCauley), 5 Lady Kyra 7.1 (R. J. Sargent), 8 Tahurangi 7.0 (T. F. Kilgour). It is of interest to note that when winning the Manchester Handicap last Saturday, over the same distance as the Feilding Cup, Wotan was ridden by G P Dowrick, who was able to claim' a '51b allowance reducing his weight to 8.0, because the value of this race was under £250 to the winner.
