KELBURN-NORTHLAND
The annual meeting of the KelburniNorthland branch of the Women's [National Reserve was held recently. Mrs. Porter, president, presided and congratulated the committee on the year's work. ' ',
The annual report and balance sheet showed an increase both in members and the amount raised. The amount this year exceeded last year's figures by £20. A hearty vote of thinks was passed to all who helped, including those who donated gifts and gave parties'. These included . Mesdames Marshall (brass tray for competition), Mrs. Bell (supper-cloth), and Mrs. Dunn (iced cake for competition), which added considerably to the fund. Mrs. Gerard gave a bridge afternoon and the Tdwnswomen's Dramatic Club staged a, play. Thanks were also expressed to those who assisted on "Rose" and "Poppy" days, and to the'; donors of gifts for the women and children patients at Porirua Hospital. It was decided to postpone the elec-'j tion of officers until Match. Mrs. Porter gave an interesting talk on the nursery, which was much enjoyed. A gift of flowers were made to Mrs. Porter, Mrs. Priestley, and Miss Sheppherd. A dainty afternoon tea was served by; the committee.
