A PLEASANT AFTERNOON
The Wadestown branch of the Women's National Reserve held its annual meeting at the residence of Mrs A. R. Otway. Oban Street. The proceeds of the "coin" afternoon was for Christmas cheer for the Residential Nursery, also for the women patieftts at the Mental Hospital. Opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Mrs. F. O. Crick, who will leave early next ,year for England. A valued member of the committee, she was wished "bori voyage" and a safe return. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs.Otway and committee, and Mrs. Porter gave an address on the work of the Residential Nursery. Ttie election of officers resulted in Mrs. Otway being elected as president, Mrs. F. O. Crick and Miss Banks as vice-presidents," Mrs. J. R. Booth as hon. secretary, Mrs. H. D Thomson as^hon. treasurer; and Mesdames W. B.j McKenzie, Mudge, F. W. Grainger, P. ; F. Kindred, Miss Dorothy Tanner as committee members. , Thanks were expressed to Mrs. Otvifay for her pleasant hospitality, and ah added pleasure was a visit to her J charming garden. \
