LADIES' AUXILIARY
There was an excellent attendance at the Technical College cafeteria when the ladies' auxiliary of the Wellington Technical College Parents' Association held its final social afternoon for 1938 yesterday. An enjoyable programme was presented, songs being rendered by Mrs. Savage, violin solos by Pat Hilton, songs by Miss Molly McKenzie, and an amusing recitation by Mrs. Harrison. Mrs. Hilton played the accompaniments. The president, Mrs. M. Gandar, in welcoming the parents and teachers, urged all present to renew their membership of the Parents' Association, and to bring their friends to next year's social functions. She also thanked the performers who had helped with the progammes during the year, and the commitee for their help. Mr. Ridling, director of the college, commended the work of the association, and said meetings such as these afforded an opportunity for teachers and parents to become acquainted, and for the interchange of ideas for the betterment of the school. Afternoon tea was served.
