SALE TO BRITAIN
AMERICAN SURPLUS WHEAT

WASHINGTON, December 1
The Department of Agriculture announced that arrangements have been made for the sale of 20,000,000 bushels of wheat to flour mills in the United Kingdom by the Federal Surplus Commodities Corporation, which will subsidise the transaction through the American Exporters' Corporation.
The former body will purchase whfeat at domestic prices for resale to exporters at a price enabling them to meet world competition in the United Kingdom.
The wheat will be delivered over a period" of several months.
