ARCTIC KING'S PROGRAMME
The weighting of Arctic King for the Auckland Cup has been^well received by his owner-trainer, W. J- Wood, who has decided to accept the invitation. Arctic King will not now compete at Woodville, but he will race instead at the Waipa Meeting prior to taking his ..place.in. ".the Ellerslie field. S. Wilson will be his pilot again, Arctic King (Wilson) was worked over six furlongs alone this morning, running the distance in Imin 25sec, the last three furlongs in 39sec." He has done excellently since the New Zealand Cup. if. anything, 4e is a better horse now than ever previously in his career. '.
Peerless (W. Doyle) was assigned a mile task, which she completed in lihin 46sec, the last half-mile in 52 2-ssec, Her races! in the north will be the w.f.a. and classic events on the three later days, and she will probably also be ridden by Wilson.
