THE NATIONAL CABINET
The system under which Cabinet would be chosen if the National Party gained power at the General Election was explained by Mr. Will Appleton, National candidate for Wellington Central, when speaking at the Mokoia Hall last evening. The people need not fear that the younger members would be excluded from office, he said, for Mr. Hamilton, the leader, had assured a conference of party candidates recently that Cabinet would be chosen in consultation with the members themselves. Thus it could be definitely anticipated that the National Ministry would be chosen because its members were men of ability and not because they hatji been twenty years in Parliament. j
