AUCKLAND, This Day.

Mr. Hope Gibbons, M.BJE., formerly Mayor of Wanganui, returned by the Mataroa from London this afternoon. He said that wherever he travelled in Europe and elsewhere, great care was being taken of the working people in respect to housing, but he thought the schemes were being carried out on more practical lines than those in New Zealand.
