FEARS IN TANGANYIKA

DAR ES SALAAM (Tanganyika),

Trade and business have been brought to a standstill as a result of fears for an expression of German colonial ambition in Tanganyika.

All sections of the community have jointly cabled the East African Board in London and other officials requesting reassurances and British pledges to safeguard their interests as part of the Empire. Urgent appeals have also been addressed to Delhi and South Africa.
