SCHIZANTHUSES
. These rank among the most beautiful of half-hardy annuals. Seed is best sown in boxes under glass, the seedlings being pricked out into other boxes and hardened off thoroughly before planting in the open ground. When in full bloom the plants make a wonderful display being of bushy habit and ranging m height from two to three feet, being literally covered with flowers. Schizanthuses are extremely valuable for cut 'flower purposes for house decoration. Seedlings should be planted in fairly good soil in positions which are as sheltered as possible from the worst winds. They require however, as much sun as possible and should not be allowed to suffer from lack of moisture.
