At a' meeting of- the management committee *of the Hutt Valley Cricket Association?, On Tuesday, it was decided to postpone-all club fixtures on Saturday, December 3, the date fixed for the series of matches to be played with ? teams from the Wellington Cricket; Association and the Wellington Mercantile League, and to provide, as many teams as would be required. Messrs. J. R. Sharps and F. J, May, the delegates' appointed to meet the Wellington Cricket Association, reported the result of the meeting, and said it was proposed that representa- j lives..of the three'associations and thc.j Hutt Cricket, Club should meet to | draw up -a . programme. With regard to the representative fixtures with- the Christchurch Suburban League and the Wellington Mercantile League at Christmas and New Year, it was decided to approach the Petoiie Borough Council concerning wickets on the Petone Oval for those matches. .. . The suggestion of Mr. H. N. Jones that -the Christchurch Suburban League? be; invited to send a team this year and also at Christmas, 1939, in view ,of- the 'Centennial celebrations, was adopted.1 It was decided that the Hutt Cricket Club be communicated with in regard to the two matches on Labour Day.'- It was suggested that the junior match be confined to colts of 20 years or under, with one experienced player for each team. Present at the meeting were Messrs. J. E. Wilson (chairman), H. N. Jones, C. C. Matthews, J. Laracy, J. R. Sharpe, A. Cooper, W. P. Cate, W. Dougan. H. Webster, H, A. Bramley, F. J. May, and B. G.
