MRS. BODKIN'S SORROW
"Mrs. Bodkin tested the feeling of the country—to her sorrow—from end to end," remarked Mrs. J. A. Lee, speaking at Mr. C. H. Chapman's meeting in St. Peter's Hall last night. "It is never the part of the Labour Party to send women into the country to take the edge off the fight," she added.. "Nevertheless, we have to get a little bit of training, and I thank Mr. Chapman for allowing me to come here and practise on the electors of Wellington North." (Laughter.)
