WHITE GOLD GOES WELL

PALMERSTON N., This Day. The going was particularly good for training operations at Awapuni yesterday, and several interesting trials took place. The flags were out 20 feet.

Laughing Lass and Oratory made light of their task over five furlongs in lmin s£sec, and they were going easily at the finish.

Ecstatic scampered over half a mile in 53& sec, and Royal Choice (J. Pratt) pleased throughout a seven-furlong gallop in 35£ sec. The Buzzer was ' half a length in front of The Bigot after traversing six furlongs in lmin 22 2-ssec, the first three taking 40sec.» Dainty Sue finished in front of Porotiti at the end of half a mile run in 54sec. Beaupartir beat Old Surrey over seven furlongs run in lmin 35 3-ssec, the first half mile in 52 2-ssec. Beaupartir is very well. Old Bill and Titter were together at the end of five furlongs in lmin 7 3-ssec, and both moved well. Tail Light shaded Pango at the completion of a mile, the last two furlongs taking 28 3-ssec. Thrasos beat Aurora's Star over half a mile in 53 4-ssec. Thrasos should give a good account of himself first time he starts on a roomy course.

White Gold sprinted six furlongs on her own in lmm 21 3-ssec. She ran the first two in 26 2-ssec, three in 39 4-ssec, and she finished full of runm it is understood that Barley Almond has been sold. On Monday she was sent through to Stratford. Writing from Australia, Alan McDonald reports that Catalogue had a good trip across the Tasman and that he arrived in Sydney in great order.
