NORTH BROKEN HILL PROFITS

In a preliminary statement the directors of North Broken Hill, Ltd., report net profit £475,153 for the year ended June, after providing for depreciation, taxation, and royalty. In 1936----37 the net profit was £910,627 and in 1935-36 it was £636,940. The year's dividend of 3s a share or 60 per cent, requires £420,000, and compares with 6s a share in .1936-37. Dividends this year were Is 3d a share for the first quarter, 9d a share for the second quarter, and 6d a share for each of the third and fourth quarters. During the year 468,150 tons of crude ore were treated for production of 86,640 tons of lead concentrates, and 81,950 tons of zinc concentrates. In 1936-37, 434,865 tons were treated and produced 80,310 tons of lead concentrates and 74,740 tons of zinc concentrates.
