NOT "MUGS"
"A- number of written questions were handed up to Mrs. Knox Gilmer, Liberal candidate for Wellington North, at.the end of heir address in the Sydney Street Schoolroom last night. One ran: "Don't you think you are a bit hard on the mugs who intellect at political meetings?"
"I really don't think that they are mugs," replied Mrs. Gilmer, to the accompaniment of applause from the back' of the hall. She wanted to thank them for coming along, and she expressed the hope that she had won them over to her way of thinking and that on October 15 they would not strike out her name.
