SAVINGS IN DANCER?
The danger of the New Zealand Labour Government confiscating the savings of the people, as had been done under a Labour regime in New South Wales, was pointed out by Mr. D. P. Howlett, National candidate for Wellington South, when speaking at Berhampore last evening. The people of New South Wales, he said, were now enjoying prosperity after the distress they had been dragged into by the Lang Socialist Government-ra Government that had "pinched" the people's money from the State Bank. "That is just what this crowd (the New Zealand Labour Government) will do with our people's money in the Post Office."
A voice: What rubbish!
Mr. Howlett: They have already started. That is where all the costless credit is coming from. If you have £100 in "the Post Office Savings Bank, go down and try to draw it out and see how you get on.*
