The 'engagement is announced of Mary.Ellen (Mac), only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Reid, Karori, to William Rees (Bill), eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Phypers, Karori. McHUGH—HORNE. The engagement is announced of Eveleen Mary, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Home, Timaru, to Francis Hugh, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. McHugh, Ngaio, Wellington. CHAMBERS—WHITE. The engagement is announced of Gertrude Joan, elder daughter of Mrs. I. A. White, Wellington, and the late A. M. White, Hawke's Bay, to Ronald Henry, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Chambers, Wellington. MOSS—WELCH. The engagement has been announced of Miss Peggy Welch to Mr. Edward Moss, eldest son of the late Mr. E. Moss (formerly a well-known racehorse owner) and Mrs. Moss, Strathfield, Sydney. Miss Welch is giving up her stage career, having left J. C. Williamson's some months ago.
