DEPARTURE FOR NORTH

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

PALMERSTON N., This Day.

Quadroon, Homily, and Happy Landing were sent north last evening by the Auckland express, and it was understood that Russian Ballet would join the train at Marton. Mr. Norman Blackmore has disposed of his Beau Pere—-Mandane filly, who will now race in the colours of Mr. T. A. Duncan. Hitherto, she has been a member of F. W. Davis's string at Woodville, but is now quartered at L. G. Morris's stable at'Awapuni. This filly is reported to have performed most encouragingly in her track efforts to date.
