WOOL DEARER IN LONDON
The Bank of New South Wales is in receipt of the following cable message from its London office, dated September 30:—London wool sales closed tonight. Compared with last sale's close merinos and fine crossbreds steady; medium and coarse crossbreas and slipes 5 per cent, to 1\ per cent, dearer. Average or estimated prices of New Zealand greasy fleece ordinary topmaking wools: —Merino 60-64. lljd, fine halfbred 56-58 lljd, halfbred 50-56 Hid, three-quarter-bred 48-50 103 d, fine crossbred 46-48 I.oid. medium crossbred 44-46 10£ d, crossbred 40-44 IOJd. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., London, re-i port:—The following is the range of prices for the series which closed yesterday:—Merino, good to super 13d. low to medium 9d to 12£ d; halfbred 56-58's, good to super 12£ dto 13§d, low to medium 10£ dto 12d; halfbred 50----56's, good to super ll^d to 12^d, low to medium 93d to lid; fine crossbred, 48-50's, good to super lid to 113 d, low to medium 9Jd to 10|d; fine crossbred. 46-48's, good to super lid to llid, low to medium 9£d to 10§d; crossbred, 44----46's good to super 10-2 dto llsd, low to medium 9£d to 10£ d; crossbred, 40-44's. good to super 10£ dto ll£d, low to medium 9Jd to lOJd; coarse crossbred, 36-40's, good to super 10£ dto 11-Jd, low to medium 9Jd to 10£ d.
