The total amount applied for in tenders for £45,000,000 of Treasury bills'v^as £68,810,000. The average rate' per cent, for bills at three months was 25s 1.42 d, as compared with 19s 7.07 d per cent, a week ago.
At the corresponding date a year ago the average rate per cent, for bills at three months was 10s 9.02 d per cent.
