WALL STREET OPTIMISM

Stocks today rose one to three points ■a after gaining as much as nine points in some cases as an optimistic reaction to the Munich settlement, and 1,900.000 shares were traded. Industrial stocks, such as General Motors and Bethlehem Steel, made the greatest gains. Sterling was quoted at 4.83 3-8 dollars.
