CEDING OF TERRITORY
NEGOTIATIONS REQUESTED
(Received October 3, 11 a.m.) BUDAPEST, October 2. The Hungarian Cabinet has sent « Note to Prague requesting negotia- ' tions for settlement of the minority question on the same basis as tha cession of the Sudetenland to Germany and of Teschen to Poland. \ The Note does not refer to the Slovak and Ruthenian districts, but only to the Hungarian minorities along the Danube. Simultaneously the Czech Government has sent a Note to Hungary suggesting that negotiations should bo opened forthwith. Broadcasting a qualified approval of the Munich agreement, the Prime Minister, Dr. Imredy, said: "We cannot ibe fully satisfied until its terms affecting Hungarian interests are completely fulfilled:" Hungary, he said, demanded selfdetermination and equal treatment for all nationalities in Czechoslovakia? a principle from which he would neve* swerve.
