PARTIES AT MIRAMAR

CROWN-UPS AND CHILDREN

The card party held in the Miramar Central school on Saturday evening by the Home and School Association ■was most successful. The prize winners were Mesdames, Dryden, Eager, Barton, Jeffries (2), Miss Joan Andrews, and Messrs. Douglas, Frowde, Calder, Crockett, Welch, Gregg, and Reeves, The hostess for the occasion was Mrs. Gregg, and a savoury supper was served by the ladies' committee.

In the afternoon a children's fancy dress party was held in the school and proved a great success. The judges had an unenviable task in deciding the winners. The children were in charge of Mr. Coventry, who entertained them until the time for the parade. Afternoon tea was served to the children and their parents.
